I’ve Never Been to Paris

I don’t think I’ve ever had so many cappuccinos in my life, and I’m baseline 2-3 a day. After getting twitchy off excellent coffee we started our day going over Averau to Lagazuoi. Visibility has been pretty rough up high these two days, one member of our group went off the side of the trail at speed yesterday and might have a broken scapula so we made sure to take it easy and sight the bamboo to stay on course. 

Dropped down to Rifugio Scotoni for yet another coffee before stopping to watch the ice climbers. After that was the “horse lift” however snowboarders are verboten so I got sleigh duty 😒 not quite enough snow to cover the horse manure on the sides of the track 🐴💩

Lunch at Rifugio La Ciasota attempting the Italian version of rösti before heading to Arabba. Another member of our group was having some knee issues so Dev and I got to rip a couple bonus laps along the way including the Fun Park where you can punch a big foam hand that makes a Mario coin noise, never seen that in the US. 

Finished with a lovely and long descent to Marmolada where we are staying at the very ritzy Badia Dovich Rifugio. Getting the hang of the semi-garbage rental board and even stuck a couple spins w/ backpack today. Tomorrow we ski the glacier and the sun is supposed to come out, things are on the up and up!
