The pickles froze at the aid stations 🥒 🧊 

What a ride. This was the first race I ever did 3 years ago (although the 25k then) and the one that showed me running could be fun. 

The entire course was covered in 3-4 inches of snow. I started about 1 hour 15 late due to a Tesla and a Honda blocking the park entrance after each sliding sideways. I’ll have to wait for the adjusted start time results to figure out what place I landed, 1st was about 30 mins faster I know. Currently 4th overall, 2nd in age group once mine got adjusted. 

Single digit wind chill most of the day wasn’t too bad outside of my gloves and hand warmers no longer keeping up by the end. The $3 v-neck windbreaker I thrifted earlier this week pulled its weight and more. 

Absolutely stunning out with the snow and ice covering everything.
