Night run

Best track in New London county: Oswegatchie Nature Preserve

Started off as a slow run with no intentions. Staying loose for the race this weekend while seeing where my stupid hip is at. Things felt all too good after a couple miles. Getting that crown from myself was borderline reckless at night with frost covered leaves and roots. Ended the run early and limping out now after I scraped my shin and nearly did the splits. I’m turning into a fuckin bandaid.
60 hours til race time.

Good time to plug my new headlamp. First spin with it. The Petzl NAO RL with a removable battery pack that I stashed in my vest with a 3 foot cable. Shit makes me feel like terminator and makes me wanna run insanely fast. I feel like a damn freight train with 1500 lumens pumping out my skull. 

Last note - I got into far too many quesadillas, warm soft pretzels and pieces of cake at today’s company party @ the bowling alley. But as history continues to repeat itself in a tale as old as time, I run better guilty 😈
