Enjoy the vastness of the Pacific between Newport and Laguna Beaches
Easily accessed from much of southern Los Angeles, this is a fabulous stroll along a famous beach which is lined with some of the most valuable real estate in California.
As you start your hike at Crystal Cove, you'll find yourself immersed in the beauty of Crystal Cove State Park, a coastal gem known for its pristine beaches, rugged canyons, and lush vegetation. The trail winds through the park, taking you along picturesque cliffs and above sandy shores.
The hike offers stunning panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean as you make your way towards Pelican Point and you'll get to see the rhythmic crashing of waves against the rocky coastline, and the sight and sound of the ocean provide a soothing backdrop throughout the journey.
As you continue along the trail, you may encounter native wildlife, including birds, squirrels, and possibly even dolphins or seals swimming offshore. Keep an eye out for colorful wildflowers that dot the landscape, adding a vibrant touch to your hike if you're here at the right time of year.
The trail itself is well-maintained and relatively easy to navigate and the terrain is mostly flat, with some gentle inclines and declines along the way. The trail is wide enough to accommodate both hikers and bikers, allowing you to enjoy the natural surroundings at your own pace.
As you approach Pelican Point, you'll notice the exclusive coastal residences and the renowned Pelican Hill Golf Course.
