Afternoon Run

My first cue should have been thinking the trail was too difficult and opting for a ridge line bushwhack instead. 

But, I’m exhausted. I don’t think I grasped just how hard the last three events have been, both mentally and physically pushing through a lot. Decided to honor my body and mind asking me to slow down before they make me stop so pulling the plug on the race next weekend and heading home. I think I also just learned that after really tough races being home with those I love is more important than French alps. Today was gorgeous but all I could think was how I’d rather be home instead. So, going home 🏠
