Another fun area to play close to Madrid. 7 Picos how the name says it is a route where you can climb 7 peaks. They all like big rock piles so you have to scramble to the top of them. I did them in reverse, starting with #7 which is the tallest. The only one ai couldn’t climb is #4 which has a big boulder on top and an anchor for a 1 pitch rock climbing move. I jumped as high as I could to reach the top 😂…
The trail is very rocky, basically you are rock hopping the whole way and jog on the easier parts. On the way back I wanted to do a differnet route, one that is more runable but as usual I choose one of those rarely used trails and I ended up getting into more scrambling and less running. Today my “compass” didn’t work too good, so I got lost plenty times🙈, but that made it more adventurous.
Celebrated the end of the run with a pincho: cafe con leche y tortilla española, never disappoints.😄
