Original plan was to take the Class 3 ellingwood ridge up solo while the pals did the class 2 route but while studying the ellingwood ridge I decided it was too dangerous to attempt alone. Sounds like it’s only class 3 if you manage to accurately follow the route but if you veer in the slightest it immediately becomes 4/5 with deadly consequences. 
Had a super fun time with the friends though. Kenzie and I ended up being the only ones who summited and I can’t blame the rest of the group for turning back. Lots of time at high elevations and the boulder field scramble was very long and exhausting. 
Wildflowers seemed to be in peak season and we all enjoyed admiring the vast diversity of species. 
When I climbed this peak 2 or 3 years ago I finished in nearly half the time which is kinda crazy
