After 30 miles yesterday and two run club parties(!!) today was tough to get going. The part about back to backs isn’t the miles or the vert, it’s the mental process of “are you tired? Are you injured? Is it something you can solve? Is it something you can do but just don’t want to?”
I fought through all of these today and ended up having to cut it short only because of leg pain that I need to manage at home, not push for 3.5 more miles and see what happens. Save that for race day
