This might’ve been one of the most difficult and horrifying days of my entire life. I woke at 12am started moving at 12:30am and at 2:30am I ran into a cougar in the woods. It was an absolutely horrifying experience I was screaming and smashing my poles together and was on edge for the next 2 1/2 hours afterwards until the sun came up. My nerves were strung super thin and my adrenaline was through the roof for the next few hours. After the sun came up I was in a better mood, but was super scared of pushing into the night again, so I decided to alternate between running and walking and this is what I got.
