finally got back to the trail

had a chill morning before saying goodbye to Sean and continuing southbound to Tahoe. Felt pretty solid in the morning. A couple cruising miles to start the day was nice. But once we got past the feather river, the trail was covered in blow downs and the trail was completely overgrown. was hard to navigate to add to the mix we were in and out of the burn zone. As the sun climbed in the sky and the day got hot, we were in sole an exposure, and I was absolutely drenched in sweat. Took our first break around 3 PM. Where are we had to go off trail to get to the spring. Luckily we were at that moment in a non-burn zone so we had nice shade from some trees to relax in and eat. Shortly, after this section, you went back into a burn zone a top Ridgeline that had recently been logged so there was absolutely no shade. Drenched again head to toe. once we got back in to a forested area, we took another break, I made 2 tune wrapped for us before we continued on. The next few miles were beautiful trail and views, but I was feeling it. Feet are hurting ankles back. But I think we’ve done over 250 miles in this training block with Punisher so that’s to be expected. I got to camp shortly after Punisher where we had to go quarter mile off trail down a ravine to access water. Shut up Cam made a packet of Ramen and when I went to eat it it was the spiciest Ramen I had ever had. I was able to get down 2/3 of it before my mouth is on fire. So I decided to make chicken mac & cheese to cool my mouth off. Another greatday on trail
