Just wow. 
The love and support from family, friends, and Coach Joe on the course was amazing. Huge thank you to everyone. 
This went above and beyond all my expectations. Went out with a great pack locked in at 5:30pace. I felt really comfortable and we were talking through the half. 1:12:35. Pretty much started the race right after and Jack Leitch  and I blew the group apart and started clicking off 5:20s. Felt controlled up to the bottom of the main st hill at 19 and decided to start pushing coming off it. Right calf tightened up but moving in a straight line seems to stay fine. Turning was tough. We picked off 6th and I pulled away on my own. Last 5k felt long but held the same pace for the most part. Caught 4th around 23.5. Was able to kick it in and joe told me 3rd was right ahead but I ran out of time catching him. Took a spill in the finish shoot pretty funny. 

Overall takeaways are just of gratitude to have this opportunity and have a great experience with my first race. Bottle service was amazing and definitely important in the late stages. Congrats to Chris for taking 2nd and 1st Vermonter! What a way to end my running career in Vermont.
