Day 6 bikepacking Vegas-LA

another good day on trail. Slept about 2 miles from the road crossing into Breckenridge and Frisco. I was fighting the urge hard to go into town for some food and all it took was to through hikers at the bus stop when I got to the road crossing we were going to get lunch in town to convince me to join them. Ended up at Wendy’s had two chicken sandwiches fries and two large cokes for brushing back to get on the bus those guys hung in town. It’s a full ball. I climbed up to a red line that took me close to Breckenridge ski resort before I dropped down the backside towards Copper mountain ski resort. At the bottom of the descent, there was a reroute for some ski resort construction, the reroute took us right by a gas station. so I stopped in grabbed a yerba mate and some chips. as I was drinking my mate I heard them say that they were going to throw out the hotdogs. I audibly gasp gas, which they heard and offered me them. Had three hotdogs there and packed three others out. The revel was confusing and took us through the village of Copper Mountain before getting us onto the ski trails and began climbing. Around 8 o’clock it started raining by 8: 30. I was hearing thunder. being above 11,000 feet and tree cover becoming spars I decided to call it for the night. First day stopping before 9 PM.
